I really am happy with how traditional this Ryokan was! I knew what I was booking before I arrived. I was surprised with how old the place looks but that added to the immersion of a traditional Japanese ryokan. I felt like I went in time to the good old days. I had such good memories here even though we only stayed a night. You get traditional clothes and the robe to put over the yakuta. In the morning it’s a traditional breakfast with lots of small seasonal dishes. I really wish I stayed longer here. I constantly look back at this hotel and the night we stayed. It’s so dreamy and it was my favorite hotel by far! It’s old and dated but the experience is worth it.

The staff gave us a far superior room when I queried why my request for a Fuji view had not been granted. The room was newly renovated with a superb bathroom/separate wc. The view of Fuji and part of Lake Kawaguchiko would have been fantastic had Fuji come out from the clouds in those two days but this was not the hotel's problem! The hotel is right on the lake and walking/riding the lake each day was a highlight. The onsen was fantastic especially the outside bath with the rain falling on your head as you bathed in the hot water.

The staff was so professional and polite. They were willing to help guests the best with a smile :). the location is near Fuji Mountain View from the back of the building, and you can walk to the side of the river park to enjoy the view. I loved breakfast and the onsen's quality. I used their onsen services all 3 nights and they seem to have good management with cleaning the tubs, and residents approve of it

The location was excellent, very close to the lake and all the other important locations near Mt Fuji. The room was in traditional Japanese style and very clean and comfortable. We had yukatas in our room and all the necessary amenities. Cleaned everyday. The hotel had an onsen which was super cool - one inside and one outside. We could borrow for free the yukatas for the onsen.

The hotel was right on Lake Kawaguchiko. We jogged along the lakeside walking path at sunrise and found some beautiful views of Fuji-San as the day began. The room was well equipped and the Futons were comfortable and the staff was courteous.
